Greg has personally funded the sanctuary’s work, spending tens of thousands of dollars a year in veterinary bills and other essential expenses. As the sanctuary’s mission has expanded, so have the demands on his time and resources. The emotional cost is just as real. He knows each animal he takes in will one day leave a hole in his heart. That reality does not stop him. Instead, it drives him to give them the fullest, safest, most loved life possible while they are here. But he can no longer do it alone...

Where healing becomes home

Shadow to Shelter Sanctuary exists for animals who need more than temporary housing. Many of the animals who arrive here are elderly, medically fragile, traumatized, special needs, or unlikely to thrive in a traditional adoption setting.

Some have never known a loving home. Some came from abusive or neglectful environments. Some were abandoned for no reason at all. Some lost the humans they loved and found themselves frightened and alone in a shelter.

We are here to give them what they deserve: not just rescue, but refuge.
